The world found out just before 9:05 a.m. Eastern on March 12 that Fairfield Warde High School would be holding its graduation ceremony on June 11, 2025.
I, however, knew two hours earlier that the ceremony was set—and, of course, it’s scheduled for the only day in June predicted to rain.
How did I know? [REDACTED], the department president, texted me the full plan at 7:44 a.m. It included detailed info: precipitation, wind speed, real feel, and even timing.
Unaware of who they were texting, the anonymous sender added, “It’s basically tradition at this point. I mean, c’mon—when was the last time it didn’t rain on graduation? 👊🇺🇸🔥”
Another chimed in, “I fully share your loathing of Ludlowe freeloading off 70-degree days. It’s PATHETIC!”
Personally, I hope everyone shows up to graduation rain or shine—but if you never hear from me again, you’ll know why.
