In a truly unfortunate display of school spirit and literary excellence, the FWHS newspaper The Warde Focus has disappeared off the face of the Earth, and not a single person has noticed.
This apparent absence is likely imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which swept all of humanity in March of 2020.
It is estimated that the last issue of The Warde Focus that went into print was the “Winter 2019” edition, but there is no way to know for sure. Another startling reality that has come out of the newspaper’s disappearance is that many wildly important events have taken place without coverage.
In the span of the 15 months since The Warde Focus was last published there has been a new president inaugurated, the LA Dodgers won the 2020 World Series, and…uh…um. I guess not much happened this year…or maybe we just don’t know because there has been no FWHS news coverage.
The school year started in September 2020 and is ending in June of 2021 so that’s…that’s cool.
There was also a global pandemic that forced Fairfield Public Schools into a remote learning model, which was neither fun nor enjoyable. It is almost a certainty that various other things have happened this year but The Warde Focus editorial staff is currently at a loss of newsworthy events.
The good news is that if you are reading this paper then The Warde Focus has gone back into print again! Yay!
