This year, the Chinese and Business Departments will be hosting a trip to China over April break in 2019.
Starting April 11, 2019, the group will leave from New York City and arrive in Beijing. Over the week, they will be able to visit Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, and Shanghai.
The China Trip will end on April 21, with the group leaving from Shanghai back to New York.
Throughout the trip, students will have the opportunity to visit many different places. Some of the things they will see in Beijing are Tian’an’men Square, the Forbidden City, and there will also be an excursion to the Great Wall.
After taking a train to Xi’an, they will go to the Terracotta Warriors Museum and the Big Goose Pagoda. After two days in Xi’an, there will be a flight to Chengdu, where there will be a city tour and a visit to a local Chinese high school. The final destination will be Shanghai, where students will take an evening boat cruise on the Huangpu River.
The trip will certainly end up being an exciting time for anyone interested in Chinese, Business, or exploring different cultures.
Students in Chinese and Business Department classes have priority, but everyone is welcome to join what will be the trip of a lifetime.
For those that are interested, students can get more information by asking Mrs. Healy, a Chinese teacher, or Mr. Zhitomi, a business teacher.
